tl;dr: Next meetup 9/19 @ New City Brewery, Next Talk & Tinker 9/26 at River Valley Co-op. Progress on finding a space, Pioneer Valley Maker Faire 10/14
Hi all,
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow's (9/19) meetup is at New City Brewery (180 Pleasant St, back side of Mill 180) and is mostly just the "Talk" side of things, as the tables there aren't as conducive to tinkering as those at the co-op. There is wifi, so laptops and other small devices are fine, and, although there is no food served there, you're welcome to bring something or grab some takeout nearby. The next Talk & Tinker meetup is at the Easthampton River Valley Co-op on 9/26 from 6-9, and October dates for the Co-op are tentatively 10/10 & 10/24, but will be confirmed soon.
I’ve been in touch with a few possible locations for us to set up a permanent home and I’m excited for things to be coming together. Nothing is set in stone yet, but things are looking very promising. That does mean there may soon be a lot of work for us to do, designing and planning our space, sorting out organizational and money related stuff, etc., so if you’re interested in being involved bringing this idea into the physical world, please let me know
Time just keeps on moving and the Pioneer Valley Maker Faire is fast approaching! We’re still looking for projects to share and people who want to take a shift at the booth, but also want to encourage everyone to come down and check out all the other amazing makers that will be there!
