tl;dr: Next Talk & Tinker meetups Thurs 6/29 & Tues 7/4, calendar & email infrastructure updates
Hi all!
Our next Talk & Tinker meetup is this coming Thursday 6/29, from 6-9 pm in the community room at the Easthampton River Valley Co-op, then we’re back on Tuesday evenings again starting 7/4. At last week’s meetup, along with some investigation of a less than cooperative IBM Selectric (a.k.a. "golfball") typewriter and some conversations about programming, we also completed some infrastructure upgrades that have been in the works for a bit. These updates include a live calendar on the webpage and a new email newsletter system (which you are experiencing right now), which will not only make it easier to find out about upcoming meetups and events, but also give you more control over how you find out about them. Further plans include automatically posting these emails to the website and to a channel on the Discord server as well.
