tl;dr: Next Talk & tinker Meetup 8/29 @ Easthampton River Valley Co-op from 6-9, September meetup dates, looking for people & ideas for P.V. Maker Faire booth on 10/14
Hi all,
We’ve had a couple weeks off due to scheduling conflicts and vacations, but we’re back for another Talk & Tinker night at the Easthampton River Valley Co-op on Tuesday 8/29 from 6-9 pm! The soldering event at the last meetup went smoothly and was a good test of a few ideas (oven liner sheets a soldering mats and coat hanger soldering iron stands) and everyone who came had a good time and practiced some handy skills. This meetup will just be a general Talk & Tinker, so feel free to bring whatever you might be working on or just come to hang out. I also still have soldering kits available in case anyone who didn’t make it last time wants to put one together.
I’ve reserved the community room at the co-op for Talk & Tinker meetups on Tues Sept 12 and Tues Sept 26, at the usual times, and we’re still on the lookout for other potential meeting spaces and ideas for other kinds of get togethers. The search also continues for a full-time home for MakeFixHack to grow into, so if anyone has any leads, please let me know.
We’ve confirmed our booth at the Pioneer Valley Maker Faire on Saturday October 14th and are looking for a few people to help run the table and ideas for projects to share to show off what we are all about. If you’re interested in helping or have ideas to share, please get in touch!
