Hi All!
Our **next Talk & Tinker Tuesday is on 10/8 from 6-9 pm at the Easthampton River Valley Co-op. This is a great time to bring out a project you’re working on, something you’re trying to fix, or something you want to share. Or just come talk with other makers and see what they have going on. As usual, we’ll have a variety of hand tools, soldering irons, and electronic test equipment, as well as a variety of gadgets to tinker with to inspire your creativity. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you there!
As I hinted at in previous newsletters, we’ve been hard at work on some big things behind the scenes, and I’m excited to announce that our paperwork for federal 501c3 non-profit status has been filed. Ok, so government paperwork isn’t that exciting, especially since we now have to wait weeks to months for it to be processed and approved, but still, it’s a big step forward to have that done.
And speaking of waiting, the wait is almost over as we’re expecting to receive and sign the lease for our first space in the next week or so. More details on that once the ink is dry, but needless to say, we’re very excited for what’s to come. To that end (and assuming all goes relatively smoothly) we’re planning to participate in the open studios weekend November 2nd & 3rd and we’d love to have some volunteers to help talk up the space, hang flyers, and just generally share the excitement with anyone who stops by.
