tl;dr: Different this month, watch the calendar. Solder Together/Talk & Tinker 8/8 @ River Valley Co-op, survey
Hi all,
So this month will be a little different and some things are still up in the air, but the calendar at MakeFixHack.org will always have the most up to date information. This coming Tuesday, 8/8, we’re back at the Easthampton River Valley Co-op from 6-9 for another Talk & Tinker with this little soldering project as a co-making project:
This won’t exactly be a workshop or class, so there won’t be direct "how to solder" instruction, but tips and assistance will be available from someone nearby. There’s still some space left, so if you’re interested and haven’t let me know, or if you did and haven’t heard back yet, please email me at info+solder@makefixhack.org so we can know who to expect. Also, due to the rules for use of the room, this is a "private" event for our group, so please don’t share it on social media or elsewhere without asking first. There is no cost for the kits, and tools will be provided, but donations are welcome and will help fund future projects and bring MakeFixHack to life.
Member Survey
Here’s the link to the very brief survey one more time. We’ve received some good feedback from it already, but the more input I get from this community, the better I can plan for our future. It’s just a few questions about what you’re looking for in this community and in a future hackerspace/makerspace/workshop, so I hope you can spare a minute or two. It’s just 4 important multiple choice questions, plus a few optional short answers. It’s anonymous, hosted on our own server, and I’ll share the compiled results in a couple weeks.
