tl;dr: Talk & Tinker Meetups 7/4 & 7/11, 6-9pm @ River Valley Co-op, looking for secondary venues, survey coming soon
Hi all!
We’re back to Tuesdays again for July! Next meetup is this coming Tuesday 7/4. Because of the holiday, the co-op closes at 9 instead of 10, but we’ll just have to cleanup a few minutes earlier, since we’re done at 9 anyway. After that, the next one is on Tuesday 7/11 also from 6-9 at the Easthampton River Valley Co-op community room.
On the subject of meetups, we are on the lookout for other/alternative venues where we can hold Talk & Tinker nights as well as other events. The co-op is and has been a great temporary home, but their own and other groups scheduled use of the room is increasing, which means we’ll be limited to 2 reservations per month (following their official policy). So if you happen to know of another space that would be receptive to a gathering of well-mannered tinkerers on occasional weekday evenings, or if you have a line on some very affordable light industrial space in the area, please let us know.
In the next week, we will be sending out a brief member survey to help us plan for the future. It’s completely optional (though very much appreciated), anonymous, and hosted on our own system, so it’s only going to be used within the MakeFixHack community to help us grow and move forwards. Please keep an eye out and fill it out when you have a few minutes to spare. A link to the survey will also be posted to the website, as well as on Discord.
